Autopsy of a Tear

Photographer unkown

It was just me,

the decrepit earth

and the hollow whiff

of a cinnabar skyline.

Beyond this barren vista

echoes of an eternity consumed

resonate vibrantly in my being…

Stars, whole lives,

plethora of shades,

and diaphanous emotions…

lay serried,

charred by time’s intemperance.

I want to dissect…

to be able to understand

however…

I do not want to tamper

the only testament,

of my inner absolute.

So, with my gaze

I rend the scintillating ichor

of a yawning turmoil

only to see that,

the heart has long

dried out.

But…

for the last time

it spilled its cry,

letting free fall

the last...

drop…
